After two years of joint development, Terberg started this month (October ’20) with extensive testing of its first concept hydrogen-powered terminal tractor. The tractor, developed in collaboration with zepp.solutions, is now in operation at United Waalhaven Terminals in Rotterdam.
Bakker Barendrecht in the Netherlands currently has five YT tractors, both diesel and electric models, to handle trailers. In the summer they received a new generation YT-203EV electric tractor for testing.
Terberg recently introduced its new generation fully electric BC202-EV swap body carriers and now the first two vehicles have been delivered to Deutsche Post.
Terberg has now started series production of the third generation YT193 and YT223 tractors. These Yard Tractors are used in ports and distribution centres worldwide. The new models promise to be even more durable and easier to service and update than the previous generation.
As part of the product launch process and to get customer feedback, the new Terberg fully electric Body Carrier was operated by Nap Transport at the DPD parcels site in Veenendaal in the Netherlands for several months early in 2020.
